FAQ

Where is Dripsie made?

All of our sink strainers are manufactured in Piscataway, New Jersey and distributed from our headquarters Cle Elum, Washington.

What is Dripsie made out of?

Dripsie is injection molded with a Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE).  It is a unique combination of rubber and plastic.  TPE is super durable and holds up well to household chemicals.  Heck, snowmobile tracks are made out of TPE!

But really, can I clog it?

Of course!  We have clogged it plenty of times in our testing.  Dump a pot of grits in and see for yourself (but grits are delicious so why would you do that?).  We have found, however, that it is much harder to clog than standard sink strainers.  We still recommend emptying the strainer when it is full.

How should I care for my new strainer?

We recommend emptying the strainer and rinsing it off daily to keep things clean.  We have also found that dishwashing every 1-2 weeks, or a thorough clean with soap and hot water also brings back a nice new look.  Also, long walks, plenty of food and companionship  ;)

What else do you guys make?

Nothing!  Just this sink strainer ... thats why its so awesome!  If you have any products you wish were better, let us know!  Our research and development team is always looking for new products to improve upon.
